Hi, I’m Katie Dotterer
I’m a lifelong advocate for agriculture and the people who keep it growing. My roots run deep in the dairy industry. I grew up on a multi-generation farm and went on to co-own and operate my own dairy. Those wonderful, lifelong experiences shaped not only my career, but also my heart for bilingual education and cross-cultural connection.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked closely with Spanish-speaking team members on dairies across the U.S. I have seen firsthand how language barriers held back good communication, strong relationships, and workplace morale. That’s why I’ve spent the last decade building solutions that make language learning practical, multicultural, and, of course, agriculture-specific.
I’ve taught Spanish in middle and high schools, served as an adjunct professor of Agricultural Spanish, and developed ag-specific language curricula for online learning. I enjoy using my study abroad experiences in Panama, Mexico, Cuba, and Honduras to bring a global perspective to my courses and students.

When I’m not teaching or on a farm, you can usually find me flipping pancakes, dancing, or walking the battlefields. I also love spending time and traveling with my fiancé, Mike — who keeps me laughing and grounded as we plan our upcoming wedding and next chapter.
