Hi, I’m Katie a.k.a. AgvoKate

I’m here to help you and those you work with connect, collaborate and thrive so your operations can run better without frustrating language and cultural barriers.

As someone born and raised in dairy farming, I know and love the ag industry and the many diverse people who power it day in and day out. My lifelong experience in this wonderful community has allowed me to put my 20+ years of Spanish speaking experience to teach both Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL) to farmworkers, managers and ag service providers.

How does the online format work? 

Classes are live via Zoom and recorded for 24/7 access. You get 8 weeks of live instruction plus 6 additional weeks to review materials—14 weeks total access.

Most students benefit from our beginner course, even with previous Spanish experience. We focus on agriculture-specific vocabulary and practical communication that traditional courses don’t cover. We’ll send you an assessment to help determine the best starting level.

Our Spanish courses still benefit crop farmers, equine operations, and almost all other agricultural sectors. The basic agricultural vocabulary, colors, numbers, and communication principles apply across all agriculture. We recommend taking the Dairy course for non-specific ag professionals.

Yes! You might sound like a caveman initially, but you’ll be able to communicate basic needs and show your Hispanic employees that you’re making an effort—which goes incredibly far in building respect and relationships.
